Carla is Senior Partner and VP Program Design. In addition, she is the Founder and President of ROI Executive Coaching and is an accomplished consultant, coach and leader with 25 years of experience launching businesses and developing teams. Her coaching is distinguished by an evidence-based methodology leveraging the latest research in brain science to improve thinking and facilitate exceptional results for HCI clients.

Carla's broad scope of experiences brings a strategic, holistic, results-oriented approach to team-based and individualized executive coaching. Her long-standing partnership is with Emory University's Goizueta Business School (GBS), whose Executive MBA program is ranked #7 in the world by BusinessWeek (2007). The Goizueta Business School (GBS) has benefited as an ROI client for over eight years. Carla brings advances to the HCI coaching methodology as she remains engaged with the Goizueta Business School as an executive coach.

Carla is an accomplished consultant, coach and leader with 25 years of experience creating businesses, working with teams and delivering results.

In the mid-80s, as Vice President of Public Relations at the Hard Rock Café’s Los Angeles headquarters Carla worked with founder Peter Morton to set and direct the PR strategy for the chain of restaurants.

In the late 80s, Carla continued her career in Europe working in Malta, Italy and London with her own business-consulting agency, Paxton Consulting. Clients included Playmobil, Levis, FitGar (Italian-style Gatorade), Dell Computers, MaxFactor, Givenchy, Oral B, Stella Artois and Pepsi.

Her agency also produced the World Offshore Powerboat Race; created the Malta International Airport corporate identity; implemented the Euro-Pepsi Challenge and developed the annual Cannes Advertising Age Creative Marketing Conference.

During Carla’s eight years in Europe, she also coached American executives to increase their awareness and understanding of cross-cultural differences.

In 1995, Carla accepted the position of Senior Director with Advantage International - London, an event and talent management agency that represented major corporate sponsorships and athletes for the 1996 Atlanta Olympics.

Carla transferred to Advantage International – Atlanta in 1997 and shortly thereafter was hired by Manning, Selvage & Lee International as Vice President of their Consumer Division where, in 1998 she and her team won the Silver Star Award for best national media campaign.

Carla transitioned to the business of education in 1998 when she joined a national, for-profit education company as Vice President of Marketing for their Georgia, DC, Florida, California, London and Dubai campuses.

The year 2000 marked the launch of Carla’s consulting company, ROI Consulting. Along with other clients Carla partnership with Emory Executive Education has continued for over eight years. In 1997 Carla shifted the primary focus of her company to executive coaching. Carla accepted a coach immersion project with Emory Executive Education as Interim Executive Director. For the next year Carla coached the team to a 40% increase in revenues and 100% increase in the client base to celebrate one of the organization’s best years on record.

In August 2008 Carla resumed “business as usual” at ROI Executive Coaching & Consulting and continues to coach individuals and teams to improve performance, achieve goals, increase satisfaction and improve quality of life. Carla continues to work closely with the Goizueta Business School as an executive coach.
