Senior Partner

Lisa Dominisse is a Senior Partner at the Human Capital Initiative (HCI), serving as a coach and a consultant to help achieve “people powered solutions.” Lisa has a wealth of executive experience in business and government, and along the way has helped many entities and individuals find success.

Lisa joined HCI after serving as the Director of Human Resources at Great Plains Regional Medical Center (GPRMC) in North Platte, Nebraska. While there, she was an employee advocate in addition to her duties as HR director. Her former coworkers have stated that she helped encourage them to grow and believe in themselves. Lisa’s time at GPRMC continued to build the foundation for her current career as a coach and consultant as she saw the benefits and results of investing in herself and the hospital’s employees.

Her background in human resources also gives her keen insight into the issues regarding employees affected by outplacement and she brings this knowledge and passion to HCI and to people seeking a career transition.

Lisa has worked as an executive in government, non-profit and for-profit entities. She also has experience with global businesses and has developed a good cultural astuteness. Previously, she served as the Executive Director of the Development Corporation of North Platte (DEVCO), where she helped many entrepreneurs and small business owners overcome economic hurdles; she worked on building quality proposals and showcasing the community or company. Prior to DEVCO, Lisa was the Director of Rural Development for the State of Nebraska under former Governor Mike Johanns. In this role, she managed the 38 member commission and fostered a series of rural and small business development initiatives. Lisa was a resource for rural Nebraska communities and those who were interested in growing their communities and individual businesses.

Prior to her success in rural development, Lisa served as the Director of Program Services for the Department of Economic Development (DED). In this position, she was Executive Director of the Nebraska Diplomats, Inc., legislative liaison for the DED, human resources administrator and special projects manager. For Lisa, the most rewarding part of this job was bringing domestic and foreign firms to Nebraska to help them expand their business.

Lisa has traveled the world spending time in Thailand, Cuba, Europe, Mexico and South America. She brings a keen understanding of cultural dynamics and the importance of understanding and being intentional about the culture created within companies and communities.

Lisa believes that the only thing limiting an individual is their own thoughts. Many people place limitations and barriers on themselves; it is Lisa’s goal to help remove those barriers so individuals can realize their potential and her former colleagues agree that she has the power to inspire, stating that she has “the confidence, faith and assurance to help others,” and that she is “an incredible influence with a great appreciation for all people.”

She holds a bachelor degree in journalism with a major in advertising and minors in music, biology and political science from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln. Lisa is also a graduate of the Economic Development Institute at the University of Oklahoma, and received a master of business administration in 2006 from Bellevue University.
