His knowledge comes from making consistent bottom line contributions by leading and supporting key initiatives at the field, division, subsidiary, business unit and corporate headquarter levels. Known as a true partner and internal consultant, Martin provided trusted advice from the boardroom to the individual drivers to community leaders. A native of Charlotte, North Carolina, Martin attended the University of North Carolina Charlotte and now resides in Alpharetta, Georgia. His professional certifications include the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) lifetime achievement as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and certification as a Birkman Method Assessment Coach. Martin Taylor has an extensive accomplishment record delivering Human Resources Solutions, advice, consultations, and key projects that enhance the bottom line. His HR career spanned almost 30 years with UPS and several subsidiary business units including World Headquarters as Corporate Workforce Planning manager. He coordinated companywide employment programs, including Earn and Learn, an education assistance program for part-time employees aimed at recruiting and retention initiatives. In addition, Martin managed the certification workshop for District Workforce Planning Managers. He also directed vendor management for unemployment compensation, WOTC/WtW tax credit programs, recruitment advertising and upsjobs.com, the Corporate employment website. Previously Martin had corporate oversight responsibility for UPS’s participation in various school and welfare to work programs. After returning from his special assignment on the HR Integration Team for the Menlo Worldwide Forwarding acquisition, he assumed responsibility for workforce data analysis and demographics for internal as well as external customers and overseeing the management of employment compliance for DOT, TSA, and work authorizations including I-9’s and H-1B visas.
